This video will give you an idea how to cut drywall also known as rip. first mark the board where you want to cut it, then hold the end of tape measure agents the blade of your knife then use your other hand to guide the knife. when you pull across the drywall keep the tape measure steady and square with the edge of the sheet and move both hands at the same time at the same speed so that the cut is straight and even. then clean the cut edge with a pocket rasp or I use the back of my key hole saw.

  • So I'm watching ALL your videos and just made my first blowout patch. YAY!!!!! Question for ya though: How do you deal with walls some idiot put a high gloss enamel on, other than pulling down the walls and starting fresh ( not in the budget right now!!!!)?
