okay, first of all, not all dells may take this but the dell D600 series are TOUGHT as hell. ive dropped my D620 in the floor several times, works fine :) And DELL owns!

the the thing you dount understand abought compleat care is it meens you beter take compleat care of it cus dell will never pay out for it when you tri to file a clame thay have disclamer that basickley sys thay do not cover anything. and its all in fine print. goes to show dell is nuthing but a bunch a stupid rag heads.
just because this SINGLE one laptop in particular survived, doesnt mean everyone is.
and also what operating system is he running? windows 2000?

This laptop was running Windows XP. Yes I think he got lucky that he ran over it on the right side but I am betting if you did this with any other laptop it would not be bootable at all.

I called Dell and they completely covered it. What they did is send me a complete replacement. It took a few days because the tech told me they had to build it. But I got a completely brand now unit as a replacement.
