I love when they bring up knives being used in China. On the same day of the Sandy Hook tragedy there was a mass stabbing at a school in China. The difference of course is that all of those kids SURVIVED. Less guns means less violence that leaves a corpse. Plain and simple. Also, the sale and trasfer of amonium nitrate is regulated by the federal government now. Brining up Oklahoma City is really just laying the foundation of an argument for more gun control.

Why does the efficiency in the tool murdering someone factor in to how many people it actually kills? Seems very unreasonable.

My point is that they don't seem to have an issue at all with guns regardless of how many they have compared to other countries.

A lot of people hunt just ones a year, and that is during the anual elk hunt, rest of the year the guns are locked away.

It is almost impossible to get license for a full auto as a hunting rifle. You can get a permit if you are a collector, but then you are more or less not allowed to use the gun.

There is alsotalk aboutt banning the semi autos.

However I can't find any statistics on how many are strictly bolt action, but I would guess it's a rather large amount, often old Mauser's. But I fund this from an article from 2007 About 1 M rifles, 750 000 shot guns, 150 000 combies and 140 000 hand guns. 650 000 owners.

I'm generally right of center, but I don't see why this is so hard. How many mass knife murders have their been lately? How frequent are bombings? And don't tell me gun control only disarms law abiding citizens. The wild west is over; LaPierre's "good guys w/ guns" are called 'police.' Make guns hard to get and you decrease the instances in which they're used. Don't believe me? Say I'm a common criminal w/ no respect for the law, and I want an RPG...where would I get one?

More people are stabbed to death in the U.S. then killed by assault rifles, look up the stats on the FBI website. Do you also wish to ban all knives, or is that too much of a inconvenience for you?

1. Weather or not the guns are for hunting, it's irrelevant to the statistics.
