WARNING: This video contains footage that may upset some viewers.
On this day, 10 years ago, 2 civillianjet planes were hijacked. The hijackers flew the plane to New York, and smashed into the North and South tower of the World Trade Centre, tragically ending thousands of innocents lives, leaving a country, the world, in ruins.
When i was 5 years old, sitting in my primary school hall, my headteacher rolled in a small tv set, with BBC news sounding through the tinny speakers. I remember seeing two tall buildings, both on fire. I remember the teachers, how they looked. They looked sad. I remember the other children, the older children, looking on in horror, realising what had happened. I remember the dark feeling i had when i saw the towers crumble to the ground. I remember being confused, what was happening? I was too young to fully understand.
Now, ten years on, the memory of that tragic and fateful day remains with us. It changed history. It changed the world. We will never forget those innocent civilians who died in the towers that day. Those lives that were tragically stolen away by our own arrogance and malice. The brave firemen who died saving others, patriotic and heroic, never to be forgotten.
Those on board of flight 93, who so fearlessly took control of their own fate, bravely soldiered on, defied the evil that had been presented infront of them, and gave their lives.
This video was extremely difficult for me to make. This day, although not being an american, really has changed me. I find it...hard, to believe the extent our own race go to to hurt one another, hurt being a dramatic understatement. Many times ive been left in tears remembering that fateful day, the thousands who died, and took their own lives, left with no other option, but death.
Please, no arguments on this video, for the sake of those who lost their lives on that day. I don't care if you think it was a conspiracy, i want us to remember and grieve those who were tragically murdered, and hope they are in a better place. Any comments that even suggest an argument will be deleted.
10 years. 1 day. Thousands of lives.
R.I.P the victims of 9/11
We will never forget.
Whats the name of the song you used? I've been trying to figure it out for a looong time. . .
Any way lovely, but upsetting tribute.
