this is a 1971 real JDM Fairlady Z I bought last year. It runs and drives nice, but as you can tell needs total restoration. It also only has 18k original KM on it. My goal is to have it restored in the next 5 yrs or sooner. Meanwhile I just drive it around once in a while, and park it at my Performance shop here in Tucson Az

  • I'm wondering if I could ask the price you bought this for, preferably including shipping cost.

The reason I ask is I'm looking into finding a RHD restoration project 240z much like this one, and am thinking import is going to be the only possibility.

  • i paid $2500 for the car about 5 yrs ago not running out of San Diego. Its still not done, but really not in any rush as you can see haha. I still drive it to the store once a week :)

  • Two words desperatley need to be said right now.

    PAINT JOB!!!!

  • its my car and I can think of more then 2 words. But the beauty of it is, you wont see one on the road anytime soon in your area :)

  • I just realized I need to to a better updated

    video, soon to come :)

  • are you from motorsports warehouse? will you put an rb26 on that ?

  • Correct, thats us. Have you been to the new location on 1st Ave ? Im going to restore this one back to stock original. But I have a few other Zs and one needs a motor, so maybe Ill do a rb20 or 26 in that car. We still have the Soarer, thats still our FUN car :)

  • Nice I love the "rustic" look, I would be tempted to keep it as is.

    DUMB ASS!!!!

if you knew anything you would see that body work comes first

  • Beautiful Fairlady, i love everything about it!

  • id keep it like that and put all the money into where it should go lol. just my 2 cents.

  • @motorsport007 When you bought it for $2500, what problems did it have? What needed to be reworked?

  • @ColtSSR glad to see im not the only one who likes that old barn look haha everyone else seems to like shiny paint and while it has its moments... they all look the same.. crappy paint for the win!

  • hope you kept it RHD

  • Just put New wheels on and work on the undercarage and engine keep the body the way it is.... its a gorgous car

  • Ah, that's a pretty good price... In the range I'm looking at, gives me hope of finding one atleast, haha.

Regardless, hope you find the time/money to do what you want with it, it's obviously got potential. Good luck with project, but have fun with it (that's most important after all)
