"Peace in the Valley" in the style of Elvis Presley.

Written by Thomas A. Dorsey

LYRICS:
"Oh well, I'm tired and so weary
But I must go alone
Till the lord comes and calls, calls me away, oh yes
Well the morning's so bright
And the lamb is the light
And the night, night is as black as the sea, oh yes

There will be peace in the valley for me, some day
There will be peace in the valley for me, oh Lord I pray
There'll be no sadness, no sorrow
No trouble, trouble I see
There will be peace in the valley for me, for me

Well the bear will be gentle
And the wolves will be tame
And the lion shall lay down by the lamb, oh yes
And the beasts from the wild
Shall be led by a child
And I'll be changed, changed from this creature that I am, oh yes

There will be peace in the valley for me, some day
There will be peace in the valley for me, oh Lord I pray
There'll be no sadness, no sorrow
No trouble, trouble I see
There will be peace in the valley for me, for me"

  • @ArkanTheClean hey mate. There are a lot of great singers out there who don't write their own songs or play any instruments. Does that make them any less a good entertainer. Elvis sang from the heart and gave it his all. He knew how to entertain people and how to please his fans. All that without special effects and stupid dancers in the back ground. When Elvis sang, it was as if he was singing just to you. Now how many artist can you say has that effect on their audience. NONE!!! Thank you

  • @ArkanTheClean yeah right thats why many times elvis had to take over on the piano in concerts to play a song because his own piano player couldnt get it right. songs like you'll never walk alone, blueberry hill, unchained melody, and where no one stands alone. glen hardin would even vouch for it so whereever you get your info from you are totally wrong

  • @MegaNaiomi yer damn right!

  • I don't care what anyone says, there was only one King ! That was Elvis with his voice, and all his talents. He gave and saved alot of peoples lives, it's just a shame he could not save his own life.No one will ever sing the way he did. People need to stop putting him down. His music and child Lisa along with his Grandchildren will keep his memory alive plus all his fans.Thank You, Thank You Very Much!

  • Belíssima canção!Realmente o Elvis deixou saudades e até hoje faz muita falta a música.

  • A great and celestial voice of Elvis, nobody but nobody else will sing like Elvis, never ever.

May GOD bless him where ever he is. I LOVE YOU ELVIS FOREVER, FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE.

  • elvis has more emotion in his voice, don't get me wrong i like johnny but there is only one man who can sing gospel.im having this at my funeral

  • elvis didnt need to play instruments or write his own songs, just cause he didnt doesnt mean that he wasnt able to, elvis is just one of the best singers of all time, all he needs is his voice and he will bring even the strongest men to tears, who sings with more soul and heart than my main man elvis presley

  • this was played at my Aunt Mary's funeral. She loved Elvis. RIP
