Actually, you don't even need to upgrade the drive. You can stick with the original drive and install Windows 7. Windows 7 on the Thinkpad x41 Tablet is literally as fast as one with a SSD. Albeit yes boot times aren't on par but performance is there. Windows 7 makes the machine usable, where as with XP it was ... well almost a paperweight. - Ravi Shanghavi
The sad part is, the drive is worth more than the computer itself. I was going to install an ssd in my x41, but it's not worth the time and money. You can buy a new laptop with ready, cheap and available drives for next to nothing. I don't know why they ever used these stupid ass microdrives in their design.
