it would have been nice is Lacotte staged this as Petipa did, as this scene was actually set up in the tradition of the Grand pas: it started with the opening dances of the huntresses which are seen here, followed by a large adagio (which Lacotte assigns to Aspicia & Taor later in this scene), then the 3 variations (danced later in this scene by Ramze, Taor & Aspicia), followed by the Grand coda where the Lion is slayed.

i know! it really...the costumes don't have to much to do with egypt but they sure are pretty!!!!

although as a student of egyptian historyI am appalled/confused. as a lover of the ballet, I'm simply delighted.

the costumes are beautiful the ballerinas too the music is like an angel singing how more cn i ask!!!!!and the whole ballet is glorious
