  • Good points, all. Thanks for the comments. This is definitely don't try this at home (even though I did) sort of things, because it could be quite dangerous.

  • @misspiggy648 - Understand your concern, but they squirrels were never harmed. They learned quickly to avoid it and they get the seed below that the birds scratch out of the feeder, and they don't prevent the birds from getting any seed. So I think it is actually fair to the animals, they all get seed and no animal dominates the supply.

  • I recommend that you do not use this when it is wet out, not because of the feeder, but the squirrel. With the squirrel wet, the body resistance will drop, causing the current to go up enough to kill. The thing is that the breaker most likely will not trip leaving the squirrel energized as long as he is attached. And this is the point that it can be a hazard to you, make sure to deenergize before handling or it can kill you also and not trip the breaker under the right conditions. Funny vid.

  • @madamadam158 get a life, not animal abuse they are protecting their bird feed, the squirrel was not harmed. I shot three this a.m. and planning on frying them this evening want to report me as well. well guess what I have the right to do that as well. They are in season. want to come eat.
