XXV laulupidu 2009

The Laulupidu is a singing festival, in Estonia, which is on UNESCO world Heritage list. It brings thousands of people together around songs of the singing revolution but also songs of peace and love for their country. In 2009, 905 choirs and 26 430 singers and musicians performed in Song Celebrations which was called "To Breathe as One".

For sure she must have been impressed. This festival is really not a concert or a show, but a gathering for all those who like to sing in Estonia (and as you can se there are quite a few) this huge choir already is a selection of choirs !!!! (only 1/3 make it to the Laulupidu) the next big one will be in 2011 when Tallinn will be European Capital of Culture... can't wait !

2011 will be the Noorte Laulupidu (Song festival for children choirs ) it isn't the actual Laulupidu (where there are more adults singing) but almost the same amount people come to listen.... so it really doesn't matter:P The real one (next 2014). And actually Noorte Laulupidu have more "happier songs" ...like ummm more fun. From Estonian movies and etc.

So definitely you should come and see for yourself!!!!;) Sorry, about the grammar... i was in hurry.

Meeskoorid olid täpselt lava ees ja esimesel-teisel astmel, ja siis öeldi, et 5000 lastekooride lauljat tuleb veel :D

Raske võitu oli ühendkooride ära mahutamine... Kästi 10 astet üles poole astuda, kuigi me juba niigi seisime kohati kolmes reas ühe astme peal... aga lõpuks kuidagi õnnestus. Dirigendi pult pidanuks taga pool olema....

Aga kõigest hoolimata oli tõeliselt vägev seal laulda. (Laulsin seal SEK tenorina)
