Shiny Alumina

In 'Shiny Alumina', class mates, Luisa Randall and Darcie Mudd - both self confessed 'wildlife warriors' - tackle an issue close to their hearts and their home environment, that of the proposed mining of bauxite at Steve Irwin's Wildlife Reserve in Cape York.

The issue has gleaned worldwide interest and has even attracted comment from such celebrities as Russell Crowe and Erin Brockovich. Now, Luisa and Darcie want to know what is being done by the mining company and what it will mean to the environment.
