About 7,000 crocodiles escaped a crocodile farm when the gates on a dam were opened this week to alleviate pressure created by rising flood waters. About 2,000 have been recaptured, the Beeld newspaper reported Friday. (Jan. 25)

Thanks for making me aware. I'm being trying to get some of the bitter rubbish out of my subscriptions bin for some time.

I only ever met one person who likes these things and he got eaten by them on his farm as it happens.

Hope they all end up as shoes or whatever, so long as they go the way of the dinosaurs asap.

Unless you've lived with these filthy fucking things you could never imagine what a worthless, dangerous and utterly disgusting beast they are. The stinking animated turds have outlived their use by date as far as the environment is concerned, they have no worthwhile place in any ecology in which I have seen them. Death to them all, death and good bloody riddance, from somebody who has lived in beautiful places, despoiled by these filthy animated turds.

They all went into the Limpopo River, too. Remember that Kipling story from when you were a kid, “The Elephant’s Child”? AKA: “How the elephant got its trunk”—the crocodile stretching it out for all time. That was my favorite story when I was a kid.
Hope all those things swim away to freedom. Hope they find a way to give their human captors the finger. Some crocodiles have 10 toes—they can give us the finger twice in one shot.

They’re tired of being made into handbags, belts and shoes for fancy-pants executives, tired of human beings w/ their sizeable brains coming up with nothing more imaginative for an economy than “crocodile parts”. I hope they get away for good the next time.
