You don't need external accessories... just use manual exposure.. a stop watch.... and your brain. The trick to making this look good is the interval between shots, and as the external devices just do this to whatever you set it to, you still need to DECIDE what to set it to yourself from experience. Camera on tripod, Meter manually, focus manually, and just release the shutter an intervals timed by your stopwatch. Simple.

you can buy the wired remote which you can set intervals. ex take a photo ever minute for an hour, two hours a day w/e you'd like.
