If I understand correctly, you're saying Kerry's military service is undermined by his dissent against war. I'm arguing that dissent makes him no less of a veteran and no less patriotic. Why doesn't your logic apply to Pat Tillman and numerous other soldiers who were/are not for the war, and why doesn't that make them "human trash" by your standards?

Oh yeah, I suppose the soldiers in Iraq who spoke out against the war are not war heroes. I suppose Pat Tillman, who gave up a huge football contract to serve his country and who called the Iraq war "f___ing illegal," is no hero. Since when is dissent unpatriotic, and since when does a dissenting viewpoint negate the worth of military service?

And yes, Kerry was gutless in voting for a baseless war. It doesn't make him any less of a veteran.

at 2:50 Kerry says "If anybody thinks that a veteran would criticize more that 140,000 troops serving in Iraq and not the President and his people that put them there they're crazy". First Kerry criticized 500,000 troops in Viet Nam and the president in 1968. Second,Kerry is one of the people that put the soldiers in Iraq and I have a video to prove it. Finally Kerry is just spinning as he criticized the President AND the troops in Iraq. Kerry is the most gutless person I have ever seen

An actual war veteran? Go read Unfit For Command and you'll see your war veteran. Kerry was a cluster fuck in Viet Nam which was a war also that Kerry bitched about the same way he is bitching about Iraq. How can you be a hero in a war where you are accusing every other soldier up the chain of command of being a war criminal. I only wish Kerry had been that aggressive in 2004. I don't know if he would have won, but it would have been satisfying to watch an actual war veteran excoriating a slackoff who never fought in any war and went AWOL from service. Still satisfying to watch him finally do so, come to think of it.
