I am a big fan of this actress. She has so much talent and charisma. You don't seem to find actresses like this around these days. Glad I grew up in the 80s to be able to watch this talented lady.

I started watching reruns for the first time of the facts of life 5 years ago when I was 10. She really mastered the motherly role of mrs. Garrett and it was my favourite show for awhile. The morals and comedy put together in it is something you don't find in current sitcoms"

My reply: I would definitely have to agree!!!!! Not only was it warm and tendered hearted but it was a series that dealt with very real issues that weren't always easy subjects to talk about so openly at the time.

It was done around 2002 around the time the first two seasons were released to dvd.
