she was talking to God or asking Him some questions doesn't mean an atheist (she is NOT).. she is catholic. she even studied in a catholic school! :) but she is influenced by her father's Lebanese heritage.. that is why many of her songs have kind of Arabic style or words like in this one.. :)

i think that in the part that says 'you've made mistakes well that's ok 'cause we all have, but if you forgive yours, will you forgive mine?' she is not talking about God.. I think she's talking about other people in general. remember the song starts with the catholic prayer 'Our God'--- the part that says 'Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who have trespassed against us'
