As for the answer to the question of "which religion is correct?"...
If a deity requires a bunch of people to anoint themselves as self-appointed agents of an all-powerful omnipotent benevolent being that is incapable of speaking for for itself to tell people that said deity exists, then it's not a deity.
Thus, any religion that exists is a complete scam.
