If you volunteer for events like this you get to meet all kinds of stars, for example I have met John Prine 3 times. I bummed a smoke from him once, stood and chatted for a while. He is very shy but willing to talk when approached. Some other delights from voluteering was lunch with the late Townes Van Zant, shared a bus ride with the great Bill Monroe and even enjoyed an Irish coffee with Guy Clark to name just a few. All of these performers truely are grateful to all the volunteers.
, John Prine is one of the best Storytellers that I have had the priviledge of seeing. It seems I am always looking to see if hes playing anywhere near and lo and behold he is....tickets for The Warfield Theatre in SF go on sale this Sunday 1/25 @ 10am for a show in April
John Prine is a true genius of American music and literature--short stories in the form of songs so powerful that they stay with you forever. I think I saw him play in Tucson in 1971 and he has only gotten better since then.
Johnny!!! He's hands down my favorite artist. I had the great honor of seeing him live up here in Duluth once. He was ridiculously good. Played steady for hours...Mostly just him and a guitar pickin away!
John Prine is amazing.

This is a great version of this song. Suggest you remove the "/" before "John". Makes it harder to find this video..
