Gabriel 'Cole' Medina has been making some dope beats for a few years now getting props from across the board so he's started his own label, Gimme The Loot. First up is and EP from two mighty fine artist's Vins aka Vincent Vinnicombe from Newcastle who delivers two pretty different style edits. First he treats us to "Heavy Metal", which loops up some stadium-friendly AOR guitar riffage and stomp-rock beats. Google handily points me in the direction of Don Felder's track of the same name as as the original sample source. Next he brings us "Stoop Rap", a wicked slo-mo bass-squelching electroid hip-house remix of Double Trouble's classic with some killer bass drops. On the flipside are two tracks from Ukrainian edit meister SE62 who takes us down the 80s soul / boogie route with two killer grooves. "Dreaming" is a sweet 80s boogie-soul groover looped-up in a slo-mo style, while "Jam" is more upbeat for the floor.
