  • Even though I don't mean to extend my arms out straight at impact It still happens. I have a bad back which keeps my hips restricted in clearing them on the downswing. My head does move down on the downswing and my back looses its angle making my head look like it is shoved down between my shoulder at impact. My worst trait is to hook my driver. Anyone have any thoughts on this that might help me?

  • This guy moves off the ball . Moe doesn't take a look at where their back is at the top.

  • @paulski5 - very, very straight. We did a photo shoot with the driver - hit 3 in a row out to about 265. If I stood at the middle ball I could pick up the other two without reaching... could have covered them with a towel. On another shoot he was pitching and he put two out of three in the hole from about 50 feet. There were many winter days when Greg was out there hitting 800 balls a day with Moe, back when Moe was still doing the tour.

  • Pretty neat. Really they are very similar. Interesting.

    How does he hit it?

  • Their are a lot of pretenders out there that claim to know and understand Moe's swing mechanics, but make no mistake . Greg Lavern is the only person who Moe taught "everything" to. Greg not only spent countless days hitting 800 balls with Moe. He also traveled extensively with him and was considered one of Moe's best friends. I spent 4 days learning from Greg and let me assure you, he is the real deal.

  • Greg if you are ever in Ireland dude. PAHLEASE let me know. 15 handicapper struggling started using Moe's way and irons are a dream. Doubt there's anyone over here to teach me

  • @imacfunk who is greg and where does he teach. do you know his full name.

  • This was shortly before the time Greg studied with Moe and all those years with Moe taught Greg how to analyse and teach this way to swing from driver to putter. I was a newbie and always last - five lessons with Greg and a playing lesson and they haven't caught me yet. They really need their 'A' game to beat me. Greg's teaching has enabled me to enjoy my playing because even on a bad day I just go back to what he taught and everything straitens out again. =o)

  • I really like what I see. Love how you were able to spit screen Down the line and face on.

  • Apart from slight differences in club length and camera angle... pretty darn close eh. That gif transferred pretty well.
