I put his attrocities in perspective. He never killed as many people as Churchill or Hitler. Churchill oversaw the Bengali famine which killed far more people than in the Ukraine. Imperialism is a truly murderous thing. Stalin's socialism was implemented in a siege environment in which all sorts of enemies had inflitrated the state. Much of the violence was the Stalin forces trying to stop reactionaries from pulling a Pinochet on him.

Joseph Stalin wasn't perfect. When in power he failed to keep revisionists from rising to power, and while in power innocent people were killed. I don't deny that atrocities were committed....I just question that they were committed by him.
