Going down "The Strip" in Las Vegas, NV to the music of Rocco (Sing for a Drink Mix) by British act Death in Vegas.

The footage is not mine, but inserted as the alternative would be a static image. Besides, I think it goes pretty well together with the music -- especiall in this somewhat sped up version.

This track can be found on the "City of Industry" original motion picture soundtrack while the version found on DiV's debut album "Dead Elvis" is an inferior dub version.

  • Can someone upload the song from the City of Industry soundtrack?

  • @crapObear2323

What do you mean? This *is* the version from the COI soundtrack.

  • This version is SO damn hard to find! And its the best version IMO. I had this on a dance album about 15 years ago and lost it :-( Seeing Replacement Killers, and hearing it on the trailer for Layer Cake made me come looking for it again! I cant believe they left this off the Replacement Killers soundtrack.

Nah, the City of Industry soundtrack costs 99p on Amazon UK ( amazon . co . uk / gp/offer-listing/B000001EAG/ref=dp_olp_used?ie=UTF8&qid=1309686948&sr=8-1&condition=used) - you should get yourself a copy. :)

  • honestly the best part is the first 1:45 seconds then it just gets boring

  • @92PhoenixSuns,

Yeah, that's what everybody else here have been saying too ;)

  • can someone plz make a 45 minute version of this track to save me pressing repeat all the time lol love it pure class crank it up !!!!!

  • @base58com

Haha, fantastic! Thanks to that piece of the puzzle, I think I've got it figured out now - and also who "Rocco is!"

In the 1948 Bogart/Bacall movie "Key Largo", one of the main characters is gangster boss Johnny Rocco, played by Edward G. Robinson, who forces his alcoholic dame Gaye (played by Claire Trevor), to sing Moanin' Low acapella. Have a look here: tinyurl . com / ykfastg and watch the actual scene(!) and listen to Claire Trevor sing! :) Thanks, Base58!

  • EXCELLENT GUITAR AND BOOMIN BASS .....QUALITY !!

  • I really enjoy the visual, (tape, or whatever it is) it fits very nicely with the music. Shit, its like an awesome accidental music video.

  • to me this is dance music for heavy metal fans!

  • Carl Cox has this in his F.A.C.T. 2 album, but it's not DJ friendly, at least the album I had. He started the session with it. Fan-Fuking-Tastic! That was the best version I heard.

  • THE BEST MIX !

  • I did mean air guitar and I also forgot to mention if you have failed to pull too :D

  • This is one dirty guitar sampling classic....a 1.30am dance classic down at a club where you can get the sir guitar out and make a bigger prat of yourself than you have for the whole of the night :D
