The ECU Department of Hospitality Management is the home of the National Society of Minorities in Hospitality (NSMH) student organization. NSMH hosted the first ECU Iron Chef competition to draw attention to the club, which is open to all ECU students, the hospitality management degree program, and the university's new Golden Corral Culinary Kitchen. Most of the students who entered the competition are seeking degrees to help them succeed in the globally expanding hospitality, tourism, and travel industries.
