You say the doctrine of the curse of Cain is evil and racist, and that prophets are fallible, but your issue is with the Mormon scriptures themselves;
Moses 7:22 'they were a mixture of all the seed of Adam save it was the seed of Cain, for the seed of Cain were black'
2Neph5:21 'he had caused the acursing to come upon them, yea, even a sore cursing, because of their iniquity (...) the Lord God did cause A SKIN OF BLACKNESS to come upon them'.
Is the BoM evil and racist?

Every christen will tell you that the mormon church is a cult. You should not add or take away from the bible...so says the bible. There are things in the mormon bible that are false. Jesus and Satin are not brothers. God was not man once and became a GOD. He did not have sex with marry. Native Americans did not come from the holy land. And the second coming of Christ will be in America. I can go on and on.

Uncle Tom, If you are suggesting that God choose men who would corrupt his original message as prophets, then what is the truth? How do we know which words came from God, and which came from men? Again, you just stated that the Word as taught by the prophets were partially false. You can argue that we don't know the original teachings as the prophets first taught it. But you can't argue that the original teachings were fallible. Because that would make God's judgement fallible.

Okay Uncle Tom. Just to clear one thing for you. King David was not a prophet. David received God's message via other prophets. King David was used to demonstrate to Israelites who wanted a king, that all men in power are corrupt no matter how humble their beginnings. Prophets were never men of power. Prophets at the time of God's choosing did not distort the word of God. What you are insinuating is that non of the prophets teachings are reliable. Which makes the Bible fallible.

Why would you be a part of a church that believed in stuff like that?

@ItsNikki143 so why would we follow the teachings. you haven't addressed my question.the old testament prophets and new testament apostles were NOT fallible. everything they taught and wrote down were free from error - otherwise we would have to wonder if they lied about jesus being resurrected etc. so why should we listen to these new prophets who could be wrong, by their own admission? what if they're wrong about multiple marriages, heavenly marriages, and so on?
Dekelt,
Yes. The passages you reference are evil as well. I don't believe nor condone them.

B7r,
"Every Christian". Is Joel Osteen a Christian? He said Mormon's are Christian. I agree that Mormonism does not hold up to a scientific method. It requires a lot of faith. for instance, I vehemently reject darkness being a curse. Melanin is what makes the skin dark and it protects me from cancer.

Cilomanfreebsd,
I'm honered that you would call me uncle Tom. He has all the attributes of Christ. I wonder if you have read that literary work? If you consider the things justifed in Uncle Toms cabin, by a corrupt nation of Bible believing people, then you might start to understand how the human heart is able to distort Gods Word. The Bible is interpreted by the spirit of God living in you. Do you study the Bible in its original writ or a fallible interpretation?

Christians that followed the Bible justified slavery. Why then should we judge mormons for being products of thier time with a different measuring stick?
