Why are you lying? There was no OTHER TYRE just down the coast! That is utter, unsupported bullshit.
The city of prophesy WAS the the same city in the same location as modern Tyre. Always was.

@Terncote up until a short time ago all the maps read Sour. If you look closely the old city was NEVER rebuilt and was unoccupied. Both the shore city and the island city are in ruins. And there was a city of Tyre a few miles down the coast but it also has been renamed. It was UTTERLY DESTROYED. nice try though. FAIL.

Tyre has been continuously inhabited since 2,750 B.C. That is over 4,700 years of continuous habitation, one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world.
Never "destroyed utterly", Tyre has remained inhabited (continuously) for almost five millennium.
Tyre has been rebuilt numerous times by its inhabitants, who continue to live there today. Tyre is NOT located "a few miles down the coast" from Tyre and continues to exist, fully inhabited, in precisely the same spot it always has.
