How to program a PIC with WinPic800

Here is a little example on how program a micro-controller IC (PIC), using a serial programmer (JDM type), connected on RS232 serial port (COM1) of my PC and the app. WinPic800 V3.64.

It is a PIC serial programmer (JDM type), connected on RS232 serial port (COM1) of a PC.

The model is PICSTAR, brand TECTRONY ( W W W . TECTRONY . COM ) Made in Brazil.

This programmer supports only Microchip's PIC microcontroller, according to the operation manual, but I never tryed to prgram an ATmega on it. Howerver the WinPic800 software supports the ATmega8515 microcontroller.

Gracias. Sim, esta conectado na porta serial do PC. Sao usados apenas 4 vias (fios).
