Tyee Lakes & Table Mountain

This is a video of the Tyee Lakes/Table Mountain trail near Bishop, CA taken on our August 2011 hiking trip in the Eastern Sierra Nevada.

The trail starts near Parcher's along Bishop Creek. It goes up some steep switchbacks and then passes by the four beautiful Tyee Lakes (there's a 5th one too, but you can only see it from table mountain, or if you hike to it off-trail from the 4th one). It then turns and does a couple more switch backs from the 4th lake to the top of table mountain. It's a very rounded and flat mountain top that gets you views of the mountains and all directions (including that of the Piute Pass trail, which we did later in the trip). The trail can continue from there down to George Lake (which can also be seen from the mountain) and then down to Lake Sabrina. We just went back down on the Tyee lakes side since we only had one car to work with, though we have gone down the other side in the past.
