http://seiu.org/bofa Taxpayers have given Bank of America $25 billion in bailout funds to help jumpstart our economy, but instead the bank has misspent on executive salaries and corporate jets. Then Bank of America took even more money from cash-strapped states by not paying for workers healthcare.

Its time for Bank of America to use its taxpayer-funded windfall to support a real economic recovery and provide health care for its 247,000 workers—or give the money back.

  • realrockvince,

    He didn't.

He voted to bail out the industry. He didn't vote to pressure Bank of America to steal the money given to them, or to encourage the Bush administration to look the other way while they did it.

Bush was housesitting and while he was housesitting the living room caught fire!

And then when you desperately hand him a fire extinguisher he just gives it to his friends who take it and sell it so they can buy more cocaine.

  • that the dumbest thing ive ever read

  • @nicknicknickr13 Actually, when you go to Bank of America or any bank for that matter for a loan, typically they want to know EXACTLY what you're going to use they're money for....hence home loan, auto loan, personal loan, student loan. You're not going to apply for a home loan then spend that money on a Mickey Mantle rookie card. There isn't a bank in the world that gives money away on the fly. Just sayin....

  • Where is the responsibility here? Its not all B of A's fault. Why are people spending money on things they can not afford with credit cards? Why were people telling themselves they can afford sub prime loans without understanding how they work and how itr will affect their budgets should things go bad? The economy issues stemmed from both sides making poor decision, and the greed for living the "american dream" when its really something the person can not afford..

  • People shouldn't be punished with unforgiving fees due to unforeseen circumstances that befalls us all. Who wants to be in a system that can potentially destroy you if you make a minor mistake? Or a situation comes about? Penalty is fine. But something as severe as BOA's fees can ruin a person for life.
