I have had this 45 for 15 years and was shocked to see/hear it on You Tube. My all time favorite version of the famous song. I can just picture some greasers in Brooklyn singing this with their leather jackets, cuffed jeans ,DA's, and hanging around an old street light on a foggy night. Great stuff. I Like it,Sure the Bass man is not from the group "The Trashmen"?
Now, This song could've been a big hit back in the "Punk Era" Using some Weird Name.
Because the jerks from the Punk scene wouldn't know it's a Classic Song to begin with, And None of the Punkers could not sing even an Octave correctly.
Now, The Name "The Shits" Would fit in Correctly at that era.
Has a bit of a Surfer sound to it too! Like it! Thank you, For a very unusual take on this classic.
