Indiana Senate Republicans are seeking energetic journalism, public relations or telecommunications undergraduate students to join our team as media interns at the State House in Indianapolis.
Qualified candidates will have successful academic backgrounds with practical experience in a newsroom, agency, radio or television station setting.
Positions will require strong writing skills in Associated Press style. Selected candidates will be teamed with full-time press secretaries. Interns may assist press secretaries in preparing news releases, guest columns, letters to the editor, direct mail, e-newsletters, e-invitations, web updates,radio feeds, podcasts, video production and editing.
Applicants must be highly motivated and easily directed for a fast-paced, often unpredictable work environment.
