  • @mdgilmar2009 please get a helmet for your daughter or she might have self-esteem issues when she grows older. aside from a weird looking back of the head, one side of her face will be higher/slightly different than the other. also, wearing eyeglasses will be difficult because the ears are not at the same level. yes, plagiocephaly is not life threatening but as an adult affected by it i sure wish that my parents did something about it when they could have.

  • @ninjaiction i think there is a surgical procedure available. the doctor will be placing implants to make the head more symmetrical. i'm also plagiocephalic but i'm not willing to undergo this kind of surgery. sigh, i wish the my pediatrician told my parents when i was still a baby that while plagiocephaly doesn't have any proven developmental effects it might affect my psychological well-being later in life.

  • I can not believe this to view these videos of children Hospital when I was with my daughter at the children hospital the doctors told me it was just a cosmetic problem not to worry because there would be consequences. This video is contradictory

  • @wilsonmd16 he said only a low percentage! LISTEN!

  • My daughter had a flat head & showed no signs of delay with anything, if anything, she is more advanced than most kids her age (she's now 3) I had no idea about flat head syndrome when I had her.

Why is this guy sitting here ranting about developmental delay when he should be giving advice on how to avoid plagiocephaly in the first place.

Using a baby wedge prevents plagiocephaly, they are $20 from Target, I am currently using one with my newborn son & guess what? No flat head with him!!!

  • I have a flat head.

I thought it was an racial Asian trait.
