:: Description

For this assignment you will revise your Relevant and Innovative Learning Scenario based on the feedback provided and your experience through implementation. You will then publish it to Educator Studio with a polished, professional video.

Learning Scenario-- Implement your plan with a group of learners and document the process. The group of learners will vary depending on your professional environment. Participants may be students in a classroom or colleagues in your work place.

After implementing your plan (created in week 3) in your learning environment, revise the plan for publication to Educator Studio including a reflection of your experience for your audience.

Choose ONE of the following options for your RILS Video. If after reading all of the information, you have an idea for a final video, which doesn't seem to fit either of the options, please contact me.




Note: This video assignment can be modified with PRIOR approval from the Course Director

OPTION #1- Persuasive Message -- Must have a clear and concise message.
First, compose a statement (one sentence) that communicates the purpose and success of your RILS. Your statement will be as unique as you are. Once you have composed your statement, make sure your images and footage convey that message. You will create a 1-2 minute video persuading your audience to remix your RILS in their environment.

OPTION #2- Short Documentary -- and I must stress SHORT. You will want to keep this very simple or it could quickly get out of hand and become completely overwhelming. For this option, you will create a video based on your RILS. Your video should include an introduction stating your purpose, a demonstration of the process - how the tool was implemented and received by the learners - and a conclusion including the results. Your video must be between 1-3 minutes in length.



:: Rationale

This assignment will allow you to apply knowledge you have gained in past projects as well as allow you to build new skills using your Mac applications (iMovie or FCP are both fine for this video). This video gives you an opportunity to learn from your mistakes and produce higher quality videos later in the program. Producing and implementing this learning scenario gives you hands on experience with emerging technologies and social learning.
