Arlo Guthrie/Alice's Restaurant *

This one was really fun to put together with clips from the movie & Arlo performing "Alice" in the same Church 40 years later. "You can get anything you want at.... www.risingsonrecords.com."

You've got a lot of God damn gall! I missed that part in this one. It was fun, but I still like the original best!

The pilgrims came here to be free. So, Thanksgiving is partly about freedom. Arlo had his freedom taken away on Thanksgiving in the story. That's what I get out of it. Plus it's a great acoustic guitar American folk tune that could have been played at Miles Standish's first Thanksgiving feast. All you need is a guitar!

Whoever thought that Group W would end up in Washington in 2000 after too much "garbage up their nose" to start another war.

I just heard the original version of this song today for the first time ever today. It may be a bit before my generation, but what a good tune... :)
