It's not really a physical sign, but an advertisement in the widely read internet site craigslist. Lots which have been covered in lava are almost impossible to find because all the survey markers and adjacent streets are now gone. It would cost many thousands of dollars to start surveying from many miles away from known survey markers. People still buy in the area under the theory that "greater fools" are always in the market.
There is actually an ad in Craigslist (July 16, Hawaii, Real Estate, Royal Gardens) saying that a road is going to be built soon and prices will go up.
Really? You gotta show that sign. I wonder who the suckers will be to buy that "little bit of paradise".
