One of the nice things about All Viewer Request Month is it's been getting me to go back to a lot of breweries I haven't reviewed in a long time - like today's beer: Smuttynose Old Brown Dog Ale. I used to review Smuttynose all the time the first few seasons, but then never got back to them until now. This beer is, as its name implies, a brown ale. I know a lot of people hate or are indifferent to this style but I've always dug it (Newcastle played a key role in getting me into craft beer). I haven't had a good American brown ale in a long time - would this be one I enjoy?
Thanks to http://youtube.com/BaconVader for requesting this one.
Season 15, Episode 9
BREWERY'S DESCRIPTION & INFORMATION:
Old Brown Dog has been cited as a classic example of the "American Brown Ale" style of beer. Compared to a typical English Brown Ale, Old Brown Dog is fuller-bodied and more strongly hopped.
Old Brown Dog has been around for many years. It was first brewed in 1988 at the Northampton Brewery. In 1989 it won a silver medal in its category (American Brown Ale) at the Great American Beer Festival in Denver.

Could you review perhaps Hinterland's Amber Ale? Or I've heard good things about Boulevard's Dark Truth Stout so maybe that?
