The Good, The Bad and the Very Very Macaronicously Ugly!

The Good! *Geoffrey Stone* Stone - a professor of law at the University of Chicago - submitted a statement to Congress yesterday. And - that statement was signed by over 50 America's most distinguished constitutional law professors and scholars. All are in agreement that - despite what many on the far-right say - Congress has more than enough authority under the Constitution to enact legislation aimed at reducing gun violence. If America's best and brightest constitutional scholars say it's legal to save American lives by creating sensible gun control measures - then it's time for Congress to act - regardless of what the NRA and gun nuts will try to say.

If you read the Declaration of Independence, you may see some notable similarities to what is happening now. If you read other contemporary works of the era, you will know without a doubt that that is the road down which we travel.
