8 Dec 1992 (Part 3) - Fletcher arrives at Ross' house, still excited about the new job, but is surprised and confused when it sounds like Ross is retracting the job offer. Fletcher tries to make sense of what Ross is doing, but Ross explains that he cannot hire any friends after his recent experience with Blake. Ross won't change his mind, so a very disappointed Fletcher leaves. Roger comes out of hiding and infuriates Ross when he praises Ross' handling of Fletcher. As Roger leaves, he suggests that Ross owes him a political favor for suppressing the videotape of Blake. At Holly's, Blake is about to leave but needs to know if her mother ever loved her. Holly is annoyed by the question, yelling that Blake is too needy. Holly rants that Blake makes it impossible for people to get close to her. When Blake pushes for an answer, Holly blurts out that she doesn't love Blake. Blake runs out devastated, while Holly takes out her frustrations on the birthday cake. Later, Holly continues to drown her sorrows in alcohol. At the carriage house, Ross pours himself a drink and is surprised by a knock at the door. He opens it to find Blake in tears.
