@kyjodo well you`re right on the money there, alot of electronic music is pure garbage (hmmm ministry of sound etc) trust me I`ve been listenin to elecronic music since jarre & dancin to the experience for many years & the decline of truly uniqe music is upon us cause they have done pretty much everythin & now even the hip-hop scene is pure electronic & truly sux because of that. If I would recommend anythin it would be the french house scene which still holds some kind of quality

i agree that very much electronic music is pure dung but I have been listening to electronic music since jean michel jarre & the breakthrough of prodigy in 90-91 & have to say it`s gettin really dull to see this particular scene tryin to re-invent itself despite the fact that no one can really create anything unique anymore, it`s all been done & to find anything new & exciting & good is a hell of a task. But it does make searching for it that much more of a challenge.

@3DTiedemann for the most part you're right there isn't much difference. however, tonnes of people will argue to the death that the difference is enormous. for me anyway, it lies in what i like in electronic music and what i don't like. most electronic music in my opinion is shit, which makes finding those good songs really difficult. also many electronic genres have two or three different names which really pisses me off too.

@kyjodo . Ok can u hear any significant difference in say techhouse & progressive house? Or maybe full-on & israeli trance or perhaps gabba & acid. I mean they use the same synths, same drums, even the same samples in A LOT OF TRACKS, doesn`t change the fact that all they do to create a genre nowadays is adding somethin that the track before didn`t have or lacked.... whoa yeah this is new & funky ....we call it electrotribaldeepprogressive hmmmm let`s whing it here.....hmmmm HOUSE?

I can see that the genres of house & techno is not that far away from one another like say progressive & techhouse that is just an tempoadjustment of a 4/4 beat & snares etc.
