i did a light lager once, and that was one of my better brews. my best brew was an irish stout. still nothing is great. but i got to use brewers sugar instead of table sugar i learned, so that should help take away the tartness. but thanks for the encoutagment

@jjrudy41 i wouldnt ever use table sugar myself... but i can get dextrose for about the same price more or less...

yeah i got a lot to learn still. i have brewed about 4 beers, and my best one was the stout. the next one i brew will probably be a bock.
