People say we need to tax the rich more. People say that were have a disproportionate income tax system and that we need more socialism to reduce the power of the rich and redistribute it to the rest of the income classes.
I disagree with class war, and I disagree with taxing the rich more.
The rich class in our country create the jobs for people that can't create jobs for themselves. If the rich take their jobs to other countries because they don't like our tax system then who gets jobs?
I believe a few things will fix this problem.
One. Our country needs what other countries have, a national referendum and initiative process so that population can vote one way or another on government policies. I support a proposal by Mike Gravel and Ralph Nader which is "The National Initiative for Democracy"

Two. I believe we shouldn't tax income at all. Our ability to work and make money is not given by the state, it is given by God. We should not be taxed on what doesn't belong to the state. However I believe in a FAIR TAX or a consumption tax. That would help conserve resources, and allow us to protest one way or another by voting with our wallet.

^ From the description in my video
Tax the rich more?
This is one that I don't understand
Here is how it breaks down:
If you income is: You Pay:
$0 to $8500 = 10%
$8500 to $34,500 = 15%
$34,500 to $83,600 = 25%
$83,600, $174,400 = 28%
$174,400 to $379,150 = 33%
$379,150 and above = 35%
And not to defend the rich bastards, but the top 5% of the population pays over 50% of the total accumulated taxes in the USA.
So the rich already pay FAR more than the lower classes pay.
My problem with taxing the rich any more, is they will take their jobs and go elsewhere with them if we tax them more.
What we need to fix the system is a consumption tax rather than income tax. The FAIR tax seems like the right path to me.
Dont get like the uk though please where you give out handouts and houses to anyone seeking asylum even if theyve never worked here in their life.
Theres a sensible line to be drawn.
One thing you americans seem good at mostly.
I was born in the uk im english worked all my life albeit at a,low wage and expect fuck all and get taxed for everything going.
I agree you shouldnt tax people so much they leave the country so all your best talent has gone, it leads to a loss of income and tax.

You know how theres a top 10 list for everything on YT?
I looked for top 10 taxed countries and nothing was found.
Sorry but i disagree with you.
Rich people can never understand you need a certain amount of money just to survive on living in a crappy flat and buying really basic food and anything beyond that is a luxury
An extra £100 a month is a fortune to anyone whos poor.
they dont go to the theatre or to restaraunts.
To anyone whos rich its peanuts and they can easily afford it.

@aozf05 You are such a sophist. Is it wrong not to want to be friends with someone who is always unpleasant company? Is it wrong to turn down a business deal with an idiot who's trying to sell you rubbish? Is it wrong to save your resources for an act of benevolence of your own preference, from the well-meaning waste of your idiot neighbour and his choice of charity?

16 guys with box cutters brought down two tall buildings and thousand years of historical tradition. I think I know how "strong" your society is. That you think anything anyone is your "representative" is funny to begin with.. but okay. I have gone through each word of your constitution and I wouldn't sign my name on it. It is just a piece of paper anyway, and now it has skid marks from pretty much every single president there has been ....all over it.

@utubehayter If you actually took the time to read the Constitution, you'd know our representatives are upholding it quite well. And while it is true we have deviated from "We the people," it isn't too late or too difficult to steer us back on track. There are enough poeple who care about it, the problem is getting them to step up.
And that's exactly why your society will fail. Because everyone would think like that and nothing would be there to stop invaders from destroying you.

@eggory Such individualism refuses to acknowledge that humans cannot exist without each other. It's a refusal to accept that we must sacrifice some of our individual liberties for the sake of the good of all people that identify themselves as part of a nation. Like I said, if you don't like being part of something bigger than yourself, you don't have to stay here and piss all over it. You can practice your anti-social selfishness anywhere you want, why stay here?
aozf05 3 weeks ago
@eggory You really hit the nail on the head with that definition of selfishness. So education for everybody isn't a good cause? How about health care for those who need it but can't pay for it because they're disabled or elderly? Or national defense? Medical research? Cause that's where you taxes go. But then I guess you just don't give a damn about that stuff. If everyone stopped paying taxes, we wouldn't have any of those nice things because everyone'd be too busy helping themselves.

Some one is butthurt, but there is not a thing you can do about it. Funny how that works! Your so-called constitution has been shredded to bits by your elected representatives. All this talk of "We the people" is nothing but hot air.. not worth a nickel's worth in practice.
I don't want someone else' money for any reason. I leave it to immoral people to justify robbery of fellow persons, in the name of some constitution that has been toothless and meaningless from the start.
utubehayter 3 weeks ago
@utubehayter If you don't like the Constitution, you don't have to stay here and ruin the country for the rest of us who like it the way it is.
"We" are citizens of the United States. You apparently don't want to be, so again, you're welcome to leave.
I'd like to see how you'd get everybody to fork over the money to pay for those services. Cause you sure as hell wouldn't be able to afford it yourself. We'd be way worse off than the Aztecs if everyone lived to each his own.
aozf05 3 weeks ago
@aozf05 It is the very nature of men to have their own individual desires about what to do with what they produce, and to produce it for no other reason, which is why a society founded on the "principle" that all men must give up some portion of their property under threat of force only so that others can decide how to use it, leads inevitably to less production. A society that recognizes individual rights as absolutes recognizes reality, that production is a faculty only of individuals.
