This is just a simple lesson on how to do the A minor arpeggio. After you've mastered this, you can move the shape of the arpeggio anywhere you want. (e.g: For an Em arpeggio you move the shape to the 7th fret etc etc)

  • hey guys, i just learned to play some arpeggios (works pretty good by now) and i was wondering how do you know which arpeggios fit to a certain riff? i know that arpeggios are used like chords but i also have no clue about chords? PLEASE help!

    Thanks

  • @TimoBaader If you're in the key of A minor for example, you could play an A minor arpeggio or the relative major arpeggio, which in this case is a C major arpeggio.

  • @LarryP12 but Am is only one arpeggio, im sure there are more arpeggios to play over an riff and my question is still, how do you know which arpeggios can you play over a certain riff?????

  • @TimoBaader I could say in general that in minor chord progressions you can play minor arpeggios in major ones major. But, I think the best way to find out is to experiment with all the different arpeggios yourself and let your ears decide ;)

  • just curious

what kind of guitar is that ?

it looks like a yngwie malmsteen sig

  • @skeleton0578 Yup, it is an Yngwie Malmsteen signature model.

  • nice lesson! but difficult. :)

  • usually when u roll ur finger you dont even know ur doing it!! its natural no real practice for it well a lil bit but its kinda natural

  • I'm pretty sure you don't hammer on the second note, I usually start with an up pick and down pick the second note. But I guess either way will get the job done.

  • thumbs up if his pinkie finger is bigger than your dick!

  • i have played the guitar for exactly 1 year should i be able to play this ???? i can play it slow then medium but fast and super fast i cant

  • this is very helpful thanks man :)
