This is, believe it or not, many people's favorite version of "A Christmas Carol", almost as popular as the legendary version starring Alistair Sim. It's one of the only Christmas cartoons ever that really gets poeple where they live and transcends the whole Christmas related "SELL SELL SELL" mentality that usually pervades the whole genre. I saw this when I was 4 (1964) and loved it immediately. I still remmeber it fondly and watch it every December when it's on.

After reading some of the comments here, I think many people have that experience, "all along in the world." I watched this as a kid and even then it touched me. I watch it as an adult and it makes me cry.
