@DylanSlevin i completely agree the man is a lyrical genius, a modern poet. Full of wit without losing any sincerity. He's the best biographer of cork that there's been.

He is a serious musician more so than most playing Spanish guitar writes amazing music. He writes consistently good songs and great albums (excluding songs we learned at school which are poor enough money spinners but who cares a man needs to put bread on the table) He has HIGHLY entertaining gigs it's not just boring singer songwriter gigs he makes it so lively. Those who say he talks his songs in cork accents and really isn't good they are wrong this man is some musician.

This man is one of the most heavily underated and misunderstood songwriters of the last 20 years. Some say he's too irish and too Cork to market himself up with the "cooler" Damien Rices of the world some say he can't sing and only hear the Dunnes Stores Girl and think he's an old man rubbish music but this man has a wealth of music if you listen to the albums he has songs that coldplay could cover unbelievable melodies and serious songs. The hilarious talkey songs make for a brilliant mix
