Great Song with one Great Problem. I used to love this song. I can no longer recommend it or listen to it. It would be like listening to a song that says Jesus I love you though You are not God. You See "Born into Sin" has some very serious implications. That means Jesus was born into sin, therefore he could not be the Lamb of God which had to be a spotless lamb. Therefore Jesus was not the Messiah based on this song. I know, It has a beautiful melody but is it Theologically sound? No.

@daboomerang319 I see where you are coming from...However, in the line "Born into sin that I may live again" the song is referring to how Jesus was born into a sinful world, and how He would redeem mankind from the punishment of their sin, so that all may have life. The Bible says in Romans 6:22-23: "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." If Jesus had not been born into a sinful world, we would die in our sins and be separated

@daboomerang319 from God for eternity. The song is based on John 1:28-30: "The next day John saw Jesus coming unto him, and said, Behold the Lamb of God, which takes away the sin of the world." Jesus was God in the flesh (John 1:15) and He was as a lamb without spot or blemish (1 Peter 1:19). He was holy, and He came so we may live again!!!! I hope this helps. :)

This was amazingly beautiful. I am a valient 9 teacher at my church and plan to do a pantomime to "Now behold the lamb" and to "stand in the rain" with the girls. I am also hoping they can perform the songs in a school talent show. There are many children who dont have any guidance. what better guide than our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. Our precious lamb of God. Amen

@GodUandiDance The truth is it does not matter what is meant, what matter is what is said. Born into sin. Is heretical. Born into a sinful world is what Christ did. I am not saying Kirk is a heretic, but he got this one wrong. You cannot justify this verse "Born into sin". That is all I am trying to state. Songs need to be more theologically sound. Is this song correctly based on scripture? You have to say no because of the error of Born into sin. Thanks and God bless.
