  • I'm quite surprised Thatcher and Brown didn't fight! Although, I guess that was because the media were watching...

  • New Labour is nothing like the Tories. Margaret Thatcher would never have created a budget deficit of 14%, and indeed, she created the first budget surplus in Britain for 22 years when the 1988 budget achieved a 2% surplus. She would never have increased taxes like Blair and Brown have. She wouldn't have destroyed the pensioners of this country.

Brown is a typical socialist. He wants to control everything. He has taxed and spent, and destroyed the country, just like Clement Atlee did.

  • Haha Nick you fistey one! :D

  • @Speegs23 There appears to be rough times ahead for both of our countries! Nothing we can't cope with though. In all honesty I don't know very much about American politics but I wish your country the best of luck for the future.

  • @Speegs23 *Thank you, sorry for typo.

  • @iAmAnonymoose Tank you friend, it appears some people decide to be divisive over the Oxford/ Webster semantics. I hope Britain recovers well from the pending EU disaster and the unfortunate hooligan rioters in London. Stateside Mr. Obama is almost certainly to be defeated in next year's election, at the very least face isolation as the Senate switches hands. Ironically enough his likely challenger for the presidency will be Texas Governor Rick Perry, Texas has the best economy in the US.

  • @Speegs23

I want to apologize on behalf of the British people, I thought your comment was very good and there was no need for Medeasbiggestfan to be such a dick.

  • I bet as the No10 door shut, the gloves were off.
