  • @CharleenCC-that really is something to think about, it never at all crossed my mind in that way; however, for me that wouldn't really be an issue because I do not eat dairy. I did try nursing twice a day, but when I did it was back to constipation and projectile vomit. After that last try I have officially thrown in the towel... My son just has food allergies; like right now he's got rashes on his cheeks and chest because I fed him peaches for the first time.

    I hope for better luck next time.

  • Did your doctor consider consider your baby might be allergic to cow's milk protein? If you consume dairy then your passing cow milk proteins along with your breastmilk which some babies are allergic too. Eliminating dairy from your diet the will illuminate the allergen while allowing breastfeeding to continue. Google milk protein allergy and breastfeeding for more info. Unfortunately milk protein allergies are commonly misdiagnosed as allergies to breastmilk in and of itself.
