South east Turkey, they are Kurdish! The Turks in the west of Turkey are modern, free and moderate Muslims. They condemn the backwards and inhuman practices of the Kurdish people. Woman are free there and honor killings or suicide don't exist there. I as a non-Muslim and non-believer, dressed and behaving like any other woman in Europe, was totally excepted and respected by my Muslim in-laws there.

Women and men should be allowed to live their life in peace and not have to deal with being worried about being killed by family members if they do something to "dishonor" the family. This is barbaric and Turkey likes to keep most of its population uneducated and living in fear.

@chrismacciuss for example a other strict rule in kurds people is blood feud,for example ahmet killed mehmet then mehmets family kill ahmets family his son or his brother or his cousin,later again ahmets family kill a man of mehmets family,sometimes this continue 50years or 60years,these r kurdish rules,they call it töre,and töre s a extremely strict in kurdish society,so that state couldnt stop töre for years,we say our kurds brothers please please and again please stop this primitive actions

@chrismacciuss its a kurdish mentality...its a strict rule in kurdish society..for example a father can be extremely modern,educated and he let his daughter for open head or wear short skirt but if she have sexsuel relation with anyboy then that father be extremely conservative and necessarily kill her ..

this is one of the reasons why Turkish people should resist these barbaric people who want to impose their medieval ways and thinking. these irrational and violent people are the same who would want to insist their hijab.
