Well, it's not very clear, but it's her version of saying "Okay." She got a wee bit frustrated with the budgie who clipped her head at the end. XD

  • My son wants a parrot. I was thinking about getting hiim one of these.

  • @StallionDragoon Make absolutely sure you know what you're getting into if you want one of these birds. They're beautiful, fun companions, but they can definitely be quite the handful to own. Look up as much information as you can as well as videos, and perhaps interact with one in person so you can see if you can really tolerate the noise that they make. I'd suggest looking up bird fairs in your area for an opportunity to get to know them! Good luck!

  • Do your birds ever have fights? What kind of birds can sun conures be kept together with?

  • @MrLaughandgrowfat All birds have the potential to fight-- it depends on the bird's individual personality. My Sun Conure is very docile and rarely picks fights with the others, but will occasionally lose her temper and peck at them. The smallest I'd trust around a Sun Conure would be a Parrotlet under constant supervision.

That being said, I strongly advise against keeping parrots of different species together in the same cage, unless you have a massive aviary.

  • You have a very beautiful sun conure. I used to have one. Recently had to find her a new home. I miss my little MaiTai. I taught her how to say Come Here, Step Up, and Gimme Kiss. Lol She would always say those things in the correct situation. I walk into the room and start talking to her she would say Come Here. I go to pick her up, she said Step Up, and I give her a kiss, she would say Gimme Kiss. They are very smart birds.

  • @MsGato18 like my lovebird! But even I can't touch my hair when she's on my head! XD

  • @BookeaterStroryeater And you have to take it to the vet a least 1 time for 2 months or more.

Let me tell you something......if a kid want a animal, never trust the infant (sorry for you son), because, they can lose interest after few months or years (that happened with my little brother, who had the same female bird I have right now).

You too, develop a relationship with the bird, just in case, because, some bird can die if their owner abandon them (or dies).

  • @StallionDragoon I have a bird, and let me tell you that it CAN be rough to live with them if they are not handraised. I have a lovebird female who was not handfeed, so she's very aggressive and alert.

Birds can live for years, but if you love them enough, it's okay.

Birds can bite you (their version of saying ''No'') so you have support the bites, it can happens a lot of times, but with time & love, the they less likely to bite.

  • @Degu1 A single dog or cat makes more mess than 10 birds.

  • You have way too many birds...I'm sorry that's just disgusting...unless that's like "the bird room" but if you let all those things fly around your house shitting everywhere I feel bad for you.

  • @Remacno89 Mine was actually a Jenday/Sun hybrid. I guess you would call it a Jensun? IDK!

  • Omg I have a sunconute her name is ruffles she says good morning cookie
