Sorry, but the "man" is busy invading and killing instead of helping HIS people and HIS country!

Kar - The key to your statement, that I will totally agree with, is "...use our creative energies to assure ethical research..." I personally know individuals,,,and if you put them together, groups of scientists who, like Joseph Mengele, feel that "The End Justifies the Means"
But, as you said, Creative Energies...Ah, YES!

Apples to Apples, Oranges to Oranges. The 30 years of Adult Stem Cell research is indeed important. (apples)`The 10 years of Em. stemcell research (oranges) has indeed been remarkable.
Just as apples and oranges contribute to a diverse continuum of a healthy diet, the continuum of stem cell research makes for a diverse tool kit - What-if we use our creative energies to assure ethical research that leads the global economy and leads to cures.

dux - I really think the majority of us do support Stem Cell Research,,,However, many of us know that there are people, TODAY, who need and are seeking cures. And as of today, the best help is in the research field of Adult Stem Cells. If you could take a little time and review how many people have had positive results from ACSR, you may want to look into this area for your needs. Good Luck.

Check out adult stem cell research. It is already working to cure various diseases, holds much potential, and is completely ethical.

moving video! (no pun intended) from a fellow parkie. keep the faith and work for change!
Your story made me cry......I didn't know you when you were climbing mountains and excelling in sports, but I know you now, and realize what the world will be losing in capability, intelligence, drive and spirit when you, and all the others with Parkinson's, reach Stage 5. How, how, how can anyone oppose stem cell research when it is such a viable hope for a real life for so many?

Mike,
Are you by any chance related to my brother Gary? I ask because he too used his considerable intelligence to setup either/or polarities on many complex subjects.
I often wish more for him. Life in either/or land can be quite frightening.
