@StSatanica It's ridiculous to say the supplier shouldn't be blamed. In particular in this case, as we Dutch transported slaves under gruesome circumstances. Yes, we are a great country with a great history in for example tolerance, but we shouldn't excuse us for our crimes saying it was just because of the demand. There is also a demand for contract killers. Do you think contract killers shouldn't be blamed for murdering as they just act based on a certain demand?

@jetscan2nl That we were, and were it not for the english and their bigger fleet we would have been even bigger, regardless of whether it is now frowned upon, in times past slavery was normal whether it was considered inhumane or not, the dutch just happened to be on the forefront of that, as they were with all trades. What can I say but this, they delivered slaves to people in every country, don't blame the supplier for the demand of the consumer.
